The allies are inhuman bastards, bent on sowing terror

August 31st, 2007 by Frankly Speaking

And amidst all the terror they have created, they lie and lie and lie and lie……
This New Zealand interview shows the legendary reporter, Robert Fisk explaining his reasons for retiring. A seemingly broken man. The inhumanity he has witnessed in 30 plus years, has not turned him into a sub-human, but it may have nearly broken a very good man.

Video on You Tube, blogged at http://theazanian.vox.com/

If he doesn’t return to his job, his legacy will certainly live on in the journalists who follow his footsteps. This interview brings me to tears. I have long last seen the film called the Road to Guantanamo, and seeing these news clips in the video remind me why I have often turned the film off midway. I apologise for the language in the title, but I couldn’t use the”F’ word, so we will have to make do with the word “bastards”.

Shame on you Bush and Blair and all your cronies. Shame on all who support these lies against all reason. Those who howl down the voices of reason and civilization, and continue to support these tyrants. History will not deal kindly with this generation. Shame on us all, for we have not done enough.

Jesus - the first ‘Jew for Jesus’

August 25th, 2007 by Frankly Speaking

We all know the history of this figure (for religious tolerance sake, i will refer to Him as an historical figure). He was condemned for his teaching an interpretation of the Law which didn’t go down well with some politicians/religious orthodox teachers and scribes of the day. They worked up a bit of the old mass hysteria, spiked it with some fear of eternal damnation, had themselves a mob party, called in the strong arms of the law that they had been using to prop themselves up with, and did away with this historical figure called the Nazarene. Hey, wait a minute, before you gaan soek de anti-semite spyker, or look for the wood and hilltop for me, let me just say the following. I am only repeating what a good fellow blogger said. She goes by the name Tri-partite.

It would seem that there are some folks calling themselves orthodox Jews, who believe that in order to be a Jew, one has to condemn Jesus. And you and i though tthey were the ones who always covered their heads, wore black, and grew long dreads. NO, no, no. The startling revelation was made to me, that “they” decided 2006 years ago that if anyone was a Jesus lover, he was a Christian. With this reasoning, all my Muslim friends who are more than half-tolerant toward Jesus, are actually “Christians”. wow. I’d better run and tell them.

It is a shame, that while so many people are looking at means toward becoming tolerant of one another, some folks just stay the same. Having a blinkered view, something which is very dangerous in the heavy traffic, in order to BE one thing, one has to NOT be something else. Or, if you are NOT supportive of something, then you are NOT something else. With this race horse view of life, with time, the horses become pawned off petting zoo animals that most of the visitors spen their time pndering over, “is it amule or a donkey?”

Such folks are the door slammers. The bouncers of this world. In slamming doors as they do, such people take a decidedly political view about religion. Yet, ironically, they will be the first to cry out that we shouldn’t mix religion and politics. That if we do, we are tantamount to fanatics or extremists.

Oh how i wish for a heavy label, and a heavy tagging machine to use it on such people. Figuratively speaking, of course. All the good words said in jest, my friends. Don’t Tri-p on me now.
